10 days in Latvia: a practical regional route
Ten days is enough for Riga and two regional bases without turning every day into a transfer. Choose either western Latvia or Latgale rather than trying to cover both coasts and the east.

Days 1 to 3: Riga and Jūrmala
Spend two full days in Riga and use Jūrmala as a flexible rail day if the coastal forecast suits.

Days 4 to 6: Vidzeme
Base in Sigulda or Cēsis for two nights. Use the third day for the other town only if current transport and opening arrangements make the link worthwhile.

Days 7 to 9: choose west or east
For western Latvia, choose one base among Kuldīga, Liepāja and Ventspils. For eastern Latvia, use Daugavpils or Rēzekne and accept the longer transfer from Riga.
Day 10: return with margin
Return to Riga before a same-day flight unless the published connection leaves a generous disruption margin.
